Focusing on the photophysical properties of Rubicene, this work explores its potential as an optical active medium for organic laser diodes. It examines luminescence quantum yield and lifetime in various states, including solution, thin film, and single crystals. High-pressure emission and absorbance spectra are recorded using a diamond anvil cell. Additionally, the study details the construction of an optically pumped organic laser, featuring innovative techniques for integrating dielectric mirrors with Rubicene crystals, alongside a discussion of organic laser technology fundamentals.
