The study focuses on the ecological characteristics and floristic composition of wheat crop weeds in Chamkani, Peshawar, revealing 58 species across 21 families. Asteraceae and Poaceae are the most prevalent families, while therophytes dominate the life forms. The leaf size analysis indicates a majority of nanophylls, with a notable presence of microphylls and leptophylls. The findings suggest reduced weed diversity compared to previous studies, attributed to modern agricultural practices and herbicide use, although some weeds have adapted and thrive.

Focusing on the impact of chronic health conditions and disability among individuals aged 50 and above in urban Lahore, this study investigates the prevalence of these issues and their relationship with self-management practices. It highlights the interplay between chronic conditions, frailty, and functional limitations, aiming to fill a research gap regarding disability in Pakistan. By examining self-reported data, the study seeks to understand how effective self-management may influence healthy aging in an ageing population.
