Focusing on the critical aspect of on-time delivery, this thesis examines the due date performance (DDP) in manufacturing, highlighting its impact on customer satisfaction and production efficiency. It reviews various DDP measures such as lateness and schedule reliability, and conducts a statistical analysis of their interrelationships using data from four manufacturers. The findings reveal significant differences among DDP measure groups, suggesting that companies need to carefully choose their metrics. The study calls for further research to evaluate the practical benefits of each measure in specific contexts.
