Identification of Key Organisational Capabilities for Effective Implementation of KM in Malaysian Banks

Focusing on the future of banking, this research identifies essential organizational capabilities for implementing Knowledge Management (KM) in banks. It highlights three critical capabilities: Management Capability, Knowledge Infrastructure, and Knowledge Process. Using structural equation modeling, a Malaysian Bank KM Model was developed, revealing six dysfunctional factors in Malaysian banks, including Process and Culture. The study emphasizes that Entrepreneurial Management Capability is vital for overcoming conventional management ideologies and fostering a true learning organization.
