This 2015 project report examines the adoption of biomass briquettes as a renewable energy source in Uganda, highlighting the influence of household size and material availability. It explores government and stakeholder roles in promoting briquette technology, emphasizing the importance of gender involvement and public participation for successful adoption.

This thesis evaluates the water quality of protected springs and boreholes in Kumi Town Council, Uganda. It finds that borehole water generally meets WHO standards, while protected springs show contamination, particularly with total coliforms. Iron and nitrites were identified as major contaminants in borehole water.
