The focus of recent organic chemistry research has been on developing liquid crystals that exhibit low crystal-mesophase transition temperatures and extensive phase lengths. Achieving a single-component, room-temperature liquid crystal with a broad mesophase range is uncommon, prompting the exploration of mixtures. Combining two or more low melting materials may yield a room-temperature mesomorphic mixture capable of exhibiting a wide mesophase length, addressing this challenge in the field.
