After the tragic loss of her husband two years ago writer Hope Lovett picked up the pieces of her shattered life and started over by opening up an inn that serves as a shelter off the coast of Cape Cod while pursuing her dream of writing. There as she tries to help other lost souls she finds that she too takes refuge in continuing the legacy her heroic Navy Seal husband whose life mission was helping others. Things finally look up for her and her son Taylor when her best friend and confidant Dominic moves to Cape Cod to help Hope run the inn. However, mysterious murders begin happening on the island that mimic Hope's latest novel. Soon after, Hope and Dominic discover that this killer has been studying and watching Hope. As they investigate further, they realize that this murderer is closer than they think and could possibly be one of Hope's guests. Now she must figure out who and why she is being targeted before it's too late. --

Many children are in school today only to fulfill the dreams of domineering parents. The Dreamers revolves around this theme-focusing on the lives of two teenagers who become unwitting victims of their father's need for power and control. Author Chrissy Yacoub weaves a fictional narrative that is lavishly layered with stories about a young woman's coming of age and the remarkable bond that ties siblings together. Yacoub brings to life the chararcter of Dream Warren, who while growing up, walks beside her sister Sara's shadows. She longs for the same affection her father gives to Sara, the beautiful, popular, and talented daughter. Each chapter captures a phase of Dream's metamorphosis from a shy and innocent girl to a fiesty and determind individual. Here, Yacoub effectively and eloquently displays a youthful spirit, allowing Dream to express her raw emotions in a well-crafted sililoquy. "This was my chance...My chance to really show somebody that I had some talent. My turn to shine." The Dreamers is also rich with details about pop culture and music. Sara and Dream share the same passion for music, and it is this shared passion for lyrics that binds them in the end.
