Im Golf von Guinea (Westafrika) werden auf drei Inseln vier afroportugiesische Kreolsprachen gesprochen: das Santomensische und das Angolar auf Sao Tomé, das Principensische auf Principe und das Anobonensische auf Anobon. Diese vier Kreolsprachen sind im Hinblick auf Grammatik und Wortschatz eng verwandt, trotzdem sind sie so verschieden, daß die Sprecher der einen Sprache die der anderen nicht verstehen. L’objet de cette étude est une description sémantique synchronique des „temps“ grammaticaux (appelés marqueurs TM A par d’autres auteurs) du papiamento. Dans une première partie théorique, les concepts de base nécessaires à la description sémantique des „temps“, tels que 'repérage temporel', 'aspect', 'mode de procès', sont définis. La deuxième partie, descriptive, contient une esquisse de la grammaire du papiamento, un chapitre sur la morphosyntaxe des „temps“ ainsi que I’analyse sémantique de ces „temps“. Une anthologie de textes, suivie d’un glossaire papiamento-français, termine I’ouvrage.
