At the end of the twentieth century Europe took a decisive step in changing over to the Euro. This step does not mark the completion of the process of European integration, but it is a very important stage on the way towards unifying the «old continent». As an economic, financial, and monetary tool of unification, the Euro triggers a truly «peaceful revolution». The gradual development of the Euro will have the effect of accelerating future mutations.
