This volume presents the post-proceedings of the Second International Workshop on Critical Information Infrastructure Security (CRITIS 2007), held from October 3–5, 2007, in Benalmadena-Costa, Spain, hosted by the University of Malaga's Computer Science Department. In response to the call for papers, 75 submissions were received, each reviewed by three Program Committee members based on significance, novelty, technical quality, and relevance to critical infrastructures. Ultimately, 29 papers were selected for presentation, with authors responsible for their content, as revisions were not checked. The workshop featured four distinguished invited speakers: Adrian Gheorghe, Paulo Veríssimo, Donald Dudenhoeffer, and Jacques Bus, who contributed significantly to the conference with talks on various aspects of Critical Information Infrastructures. CRITIS 2007 showcased its excellence in this research field by including ITCIP, which enhanced the workshop's prestige. The active participation of the IEEE community in Critical Infrastructure Protection was crucial to the event's success. Additionally, CRITIS received generous sponsorship from Telecom Italia, the JRC of the European Commission, IRRIIS, IFIP, and IABG, for which the organizers express their gratitude.
