The Shadow and Her Wanda by Paul Chan, an artist's book for children, was specially commissioned by the Serpentine Gallery, London to accompany the exhibition Paul Chan: The 7 Lights 2007. Wanda is afraid of the night until her Shadow shows her how the world is transformed in the dark. This innovative and engaging story with pictures and footnotes introduces children and parents to ideas around language, art and contemporary culture. American artist Paul Chan has achieved international acclaim for his drawing, videos and installations.
