In the liberal world, states assert neutrality towards religions while allowing their public presence. This book explores how diverse public expressions of religion, including their argumentative potential, can be peacefully integrated into social and political life. The resurgence of extreme ideologies, which may reference their religious roots in the public sphere, highlights that religious tolerance should not compromise public order.
