Maggiori informazioni sul libro

In today's world, we are inundated with visual data, and mobile personal devices are widely accessible. This creates a challenge: how to effectively fit vast amounts of visual data onto resource-limited mobile devices while ensuring a good user experience. We need innovative strategies to adapt functionalities originally designed for powerful desktop computers to these constrained platforms. Additionally, the presentation of visual data on mobile devices must enhance usability and user acceptance. There is no simple solution, but opportunities arise from three key aspects: mobile devices, visual data, and user factors. The advancement of mobile technology allows for the processing of more complex visual data. The growing quantity and quality of visual data necessitate new methods for visualization and interaction. Furthermore, varying user factors across different applications require modifications and assessments of mobile interfaces to optimize usability and acceptance. This exploration focuses on fundamental techniques for designing and evaluating mobile augmented and virtual reality interfaces. We will introduce original technical contributions related to core components of mobile AR/VR interfaces, apply emerging techniques to develop novel mobile interfaces, and propose design guidelines informed by formal user studies.
