This editorial explores the intersection of dementia strategies, medical ethics, and human rights, emphasizing the need for effective protection of individuals with dementia. It discusses national dementia plans and their impact on clinical ethics, highlighting efforts in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and Bavaria. The Norwegian Dementia Plan and Israel's national program for addressing Alzheimer's disease are examined, along with Singapore's approach to caring for older people with dementia. Additionally, China's emerging Alzheimer’s plan is analyzed, focusing on ethical and cultural dimensions in institutionalized nursing care.
