In 1945 this author's father Meyer Levin, an American war correspondent embarked on a journey with French photographer Eric Schwab whose mother had been deported in 1943 through Europe to seek out the remnants of Jewish communities. In 1995, he retraced his father's journey, where he photographed the concentration camps & Europe today, contrasting his with his father's experience fifty years ago. Assembled in War Story are Schwab's photos from 1945 & his father's writing, creating a narrative of images & text spanning fifty years & two generations
