Josef Baur repaired Radios in the 1930s. During the war, this keen engineer worked in Berlin on Radar projects and was involved with the resistance. In June 1945, he established a Workshop called Josef Baur physikalisch-technische Werkstätten. Five years later, he and his Team built the first portable high voltage cable test Generator: it weighed only 20 kg and produced 45,000 Volts dc. This device was a global success and Baur found his Business niche: testing and measurement Technology for the power supply industry.
