This book is the first attempt to provide a global view on the phenomenon of Islamism from its beginning in Medina under the Prophet Muhammad to its new forms with the ‘Caliphate’ of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and the ‘Imamate’ of Ayatollah Khamenei.
