Focusing on enhancing disaster resilience, this research paper investigates acute disasters in East African cities, aiming to create a comprehensive database and assess the resilience of major urban areas. It highlights the urgent need for this study due to rapid urbanization and increasing urban disasters in developing regions. Employing document review and descriptive research methods, the study involves 104 participants from cities like Dar es Salaam and Nairobi, utilizing statistical measures to analyze and validate the collected data.
