Set during World War II, the story follows Robbie, a determined seventeen-year-old who disguises his identity to join the Royal Canadian Air Force after his father, a Spitfire pilot, becomes a POW. Assigned as a navigator instead of a pilot, Robbie faces disappointment but soon finds himself in peril during a bombing mission over Germany. When the pilot and crew are incapacitated, Robbie must rely on his limited flying skills to navigate a dangerous situation, testing his courage and resolve as he fights for survival.
