The story follows Lee Gildoo, a member of Pyongyang's elite, as he evades both local and North Korean secret police in a desperate bid for freedom across China and Mongolia. After narrowly escaping arrest, he orchestrates his departure to make it appear as if he fell victim to gang violence.
