Arthur Morrison's life journey, shaped by his upbringing in London's East End, led him from a humble office boy to a notable writer and editor. His early works reflected the gritty realities of working-class life, particularly through his detective stories featuring Martin Hewitt and the morally ambiguous Horace Dorrington.
