Focusing on the pressures within grammar schools, this study addresses a largely overlooked area in educational research. It highlights that while Able Gifted and Talented students are largely unaffected by national examination estimates, they excel under internal aspirations. In contrast, teachers experience significant stress from these expectations, viewing them negatively.
