Focusing on the role of principals as instructional leaders, this study examines primary schools in Limpopo Province's Motupa Circuit. It highlights the critical impact of effective leadership on curriculum implementation and student performance. Through qualitative methods like observations and interviews, the research explores principals' perceptions of their roles in enhancing teaching and learning. Findings indicate a gap between expected and actual involvement in monitoring and supporting educators, suggesting that principals are not fulfilling their potential in this area.
