The cemeteries at Kammelhöhe, Sonneben [DF 5], Moserfeld-Osthang [DF 6], Hexenwandfeld [DF 7], Lettenbühel, and Friedhof [DF 8] are followed by this publication on the necropolis Römersteig-Ruedlkopf excavated by J.-W. Neugebauer in 1979-82. Although it was one of the smaller and poorer cemeteries at Dürrnberg, the multi-storey construction of the burial chambers and the multiple and secondary burials with up to 17 individuals per grave are particularly striking here. The presentation of the topography, history of research, methodical approaches, features, and finds are followed by anthropological analyses, animal bones, archaeo-botany as well as chronological and chorological aspects. Altogether, there were 98 deceased, amongst them 28 females and 29 males or 14 sub-adults and 71 adults, buried in 27 chamber graves, 2 busta, one inhumation, and nine pit cremations of phases Lt A2-B1 and C1. They followed after a Ha D settlement and Lt A1 ustrina and were overlain by a MLT settlement. As a rule, there were food, drink, iron slashing knives, dress accessories, and sometimes weapons in the graves which were covered by earthen tumuli or a pyramid.
