In 1918, Emily Hobhouse, despite her health challenges, dedicated herself to alleviating the suffering of war-affected children in Europe. With support from the Save the Children Fund and South Africans who remembered her past humanitarian efforts, she focused on providing meals for thousands in Leipzig, Germany. Her legacy continued with funding for a home in Cornwall, where she could write about her experiences. Ultimately, her ashes were interred in a South African War Memorial, honoring her lifelong commitment to service and the impact of determination.
