Focusing on linguistic interference from Franco-Russian contact, this work explores language interaction within the sociolinguistic framework of philological faculties. It emphasizes the need for updated research methodologies and the introduction of new concepts to address the unique functioning of French outside its metropolitan area. The study highlights how the French language serves as both a communicative tool and a system influenced by students' native languages, leading to the emergence of a distinct "student" variant of French within these faculties.
