In a comedic twist, a hypochondriac named M. Argan plans to marry his daughter Angelica to a physician's son to cut medical costs, unaware that she loves Cl ante. With the help of his brother B ralde and the clever maid Toinette, the lovers' true feelings are revealed, and they unveil Mme Argan's manipulative intentions to exploit her husband financially.
