Exploring the intersection of culture and corporate social responsibility (CSR), this thesis examines how Confucian-influenced and Anglo-American business cultures shape ethical decision-making in firms. It reviews empirical studies to assess the impact of national culture on CSR practices, addressing key questions about cultural definitions, measurement methods, and the influence of specific cultural dimensions. The research also considers conflicting findings and aims to draw prescriptive conclusions regarding the relationship between culture and CSR behavior in a global context.

Multinational corporations (MNCs) significantly influence the global economy, representing about one-third of total world trade and employing around 80 million people abroad. Their extensive supply and dependency networks contribute to their substantial economic power, which has sparked strong opposition and fear among the public who feel vulnerable to their dominance. This seminar paper explores the complexities and implications of MNCs' roles in modern economics, highlighting the tension between their influence and societal concerns.

This book answers the question of whether the People’s Republic of China has established a skilled immigration system with tiered rights to increase skilled labour immigration. Political discourses talk about China becoming a global talent magnet. The findings suggest that the current skilled immigration system allocates migrant statuses based on skill only in areas of administrative law. Reforms of the Chinese skilled immigration system have not changed court practice. The political discourses around global talent are efforts to propagate China as a knowledge superpower. Still, fundamental problems within the legal system that make labour immigration to China unattractive persist.

Die Bachelorarbeit untersucht die wachsende Bedeutung von Transparenz im Kontext der Justiz innerhalb der Kommunistischen Partei Chinas. Sie beleuchtet, wie das Prinzip, dass Gerechtigkeit nicht nur vollzogen, sondern auch sichtbar sein muss, in den letzten Jahren an Unterstützung gewonnen hat. Die Arbeit analysiert die Entwicklungen und Herausforderungen, die mit dieser Auffassung in der Praxis verbunden sind, und reflektiert die Auswirkungen auf das chinesische Rechtssystem.

Die Kulturrevolution in China wurde von Mao als Reaktion auf einen liberalen Kurs initiiert, um eine Rückkehr zum Kapitalismus zu verhindern. Ziel war die Mobilisierung der Massen zur Schaffung eines neuen Menschen und einer neuen Gesellschaft. Die Rote Garde, bestehend aus Schülern und Studenten, spielte eine zentrale Rolle und ersetzte ab Juni 1966 die Kommunistische Jugendliga. Ab August 1966 wurde sie zum Hauptinstrument Maos im Kampf gegen unerwünschte Elemente innerhalb der Partei, was die Dynamik und den Verlauf der Revolution entscheidend prägte.
