Tato kniha je ve skutečnosti přepisem exercicií (živého slova), které dával v postní době r. 1976 papeži Pavlu VI. tehdejší krakovský arcibiskup Karol Wojtyła. Z textu je znát, že autorem je pastýř jednoho z nejdůležitějších stolců Polska, které se tehdy potýkalo s komunistickou diktaturou.
