Billy Donaldson is twenty years old, works in a dead-end job, and has lived with his parents in Fort William, Scotland, all his life. Single and friendless, his miserable existence is made worse by his abusive parents and work colleagues who make his life hell. But one day, he discovers his passion for walking in the Scottish countryside and it acts as a gateway for his revenge on all those who have abused and betrayed him. Told through Billy's eyes, this is a powerful tale demonstrating the need for love and acceptance, and the devastating consequences that can arise when those needs aren't met. A gripping story of determination, revenge and betrayal, with an unexpected twist.

James Robson's accessible study focuses on Deuteronomy's storyline, explores its role within a biblical theology of the Old and New Testaments, and sets out its enduring function as an authoritative word for the Christian and the church today. In the Old Testament, milk and honey are the enticing fare of the Promised Land; but honey as sweet nourishment extends to Yahweh's words, and Deuteronomy is a book filled with them. -- Publisher's website.

      Deuteronomy 1-11
    • Most people believe that you can die from a broken heart. That rejected love could cause someone to take their own life. But what if it isn't heartache that caused the death of the unloved? What if something terrible actually claims their lives? What if there was something hiding in the shadows, waiting, watching, something unearthly, that fed on heartache, sorrow and the souls of the broken hearted? Lilly Anne Freemantle and her new friends have experienced the cruelty of an unimaginable being and now live in fear, knowing that it will return and that they will never be safe. They know they need to destroy the being before it claims more lives. But will their plan work? Or will others die? This novel reminds us that uttering those 'three little words' can bring joy and happiness. Yet makes you wonder what happens when love is not reciprocated. Can this be a catalyst for terror, horror and death?

      Three Little Words
    • When I began writing, over forty years ago, I focused on the heart. Although I did not fully comprehend what I was going to discover, the more my mind focused on the heart the more I realized why the Lord Almighty placed it in the center of all human and spiritual activity. Each human being learns early in life that their ongoing existence depends on and is sustained by their beating heart. Although we can’t directly visualize our hearts, we know that it beats inside our chest and continues to repeat its perpetual beat without our direct assistance. This miracle of creation stimulated my curiosity and led me to explore in greater depth the majesty of the heart, which transcends into our spiritual world. Our temporal bodies can be viewed as shells covering and protecting our spiritual inner beings. Being temporary, God has provided numerous gifts or tools to aid us in our self-discovery process. Our main assignment or purpose in life’s human form is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. It is my hope and my prayer that the thoughts conveyed in my poems will be an aid to expand understanding by encouraging a strong desire to seek and to claim Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and to spread the truth to others in your sphere of influence.

    • Lysistrata is the most notorious of Aristophanes' comedies. First staged in 411 BCE, its action famously revolves around a sex strike launched by the women of Greece in an attempt to force their husbands to end the war. With its risqué humour, vibrant battle of the sexes, and themes of war and peace, Lysistrata remains as daring and thought-provoking today as it would have been for its original audience in Classical Athens. Aristophanes: Lysistrata is a lively and engaging introduction to this play aimed at students and scholars of classical drama alike. It sets Lysistrata in its social and historical context, looking at key themes such as politics, religion and its provocative portrayal of women, as well as the play's language, humour and personalities, including the formidable and trailblazing Lysistrata herself. Lysistrata has often been translated, adapted and performed in the modern era and this book also traces the ways in which it has been re-imagined and re-presented to new audiences. As this reception history reveals, Lysistrata's appeal in the modern world lies not only in its racy subject matter, but also in its potential to be recast as a feminist, pacifist or otherwise subversive play that openly challenges the political and social status quo.
