Focusing on gender dynamics in Guinea, the study highlights how poverty disproportionately affects women, who face unique challenges and responsibilities compared to men. It examines the structure and functioning of the Caisse Locale Sabougnouma and analyzes gender relations in Kouroussa prior to the introduction of microcredit. The research also assesses the impact of microfinance institutions on women and shifts in gender relations, alongside the community's perceptions of these changes. This work serves as a resource for academics and practitioners in microfinance.
