Focusing on the socio-economic challenges in Zimbabwe, this analysis examines the impact of the New Political Dispensation (NPD) following the ousting of Robert Mugabe in 2017. It explores the initial hopes for improvement under President Emmerson Mnangagwa, which ultimately led to national disillusionment reminiscent of the Arab Spring. Utilizing interviews, questionnaires, and observations from four growth points, the study employs a phenomenological approach to assess the persistent hardships stemming from Mugabe's regime.
