Bean cake for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Your cell is dimly lit; you never know if it is daytime or nighttime. In fact, the only thing you know for sure is you're doing dead time. As usual, I would exercise like a fiend, basically to exhaustion, to silence the demons in my head. If anything, Charlene will be the last chick I ever get serious with. I am never going to be betrayed by a chick again. I was meditating and extremely deep in calming thoughts when I heard a key open my cell door. Levy must be here; better get me out sooner than later.

Diablo Returns, Book 8 in the Mitch Strongbow Series. There's revenge, and then there's Strongbow revenge. As we exited the plane, we showed security our documentation and were allowed to go to the cargo haul door to wait for the casket. Seamus already had a hearse waiting for the John Doe. It took about thirty minutes. All of us looking around for any trouble from the cops or fellow crooks. Joseph now signaled for Seamus' men to open the back and the two of them helped us load the casket. Joseph said he and Connor were going to go with the body and they would drop me off at the hotel. Man, this was a kick-ass oversized Caddy hearse. Joseph introduced me to Seamus' men. They were quiet and shook my hand, but you could tell the trust wasn't there yet.

I checked the answering machine, and the only calls were from Rachel, Ella, and surprisingly Herschel who asked me to call him. Still nothing from Charlene. Where the hell are you, girl? Yeah, I didn't feel like talking to anyone, but if I stunk as half bad as Oscar, not even a fly would land on me. So, I jumped in the shower and had so many things racing through my mind. As soon as I got out and dried off, I called Rachel. I got her voicemail but told her I am home safe and sound, and that I loved her. Oscar, in the meantime, had passed out on the couch. Even the phone ringing didn't wake him.
