Lo cunto de li cunti è una raccolta di cinquanta fiabe in lingua napoletana scritte fra il 1634 e il 1636 a Napoli. Le cinquanta fiabe sono collocate in una cornice che segue il modello del Decameron di Boccaccio, anche se il linguaggio e i temi trattati sono diversi. Nonostante l’opera sia scritta con lo stile delle fiabe, è destinata a un pubblico adulto. Il testo è preceduto da una raccolta di proverbi famosi. Il film di Matteo Garrone "Il racconto dei racconti" è stato tratto da alcuni di questi racconti.
