Enjoy the Joyful Adaptation of Honored Roumanian Folk Dances This set of six movements constitutes Bartok's 1915 adaptation of Romanian tunes originating in Transylvania, which were played on the fiddle or a shepherd's flute. Zoltan Szekely's adaptation for violin and piano included transposing some of the movements, repeating some sections, and adding techniques specific for the violin.
