As with Sandford's previous works, this installment offers a fast-paced, thrilling ride. While some plot elements may stretch credibility and the dialogue can falter, the narrative remains engaging. Fans will find Davenport a bit older and warier, yet still sharp-witted and determined. This installment solidifies Sandford's reputation among the genre's best.
