The author admits that the way he tells them may not have been the way they were told in those ancient years. But he preservers the basic stories and tells them with what he feels was the humor and instruction told around the campfires. While he also admits that his conclusions may not have been theirs, he feels that the basic education and joy in them leads still to sound enlightenment today.
