Maggiori informazioni sul libro

In an era of military downsizing, U.S. leaders are increasingly relying on advanced technology as a force equalizer. With no new hand-held rifle since the M16 was introduced in the 1960s, a revolutionary gun poised to become the NATO standard has emerged. This weapon, developed by a German company, boasts remarkable speed and accuracy, transforming average shooters into expert marksmen. However, there’s a catch: it lacks a U.S. production contract. Enter Warfield Arms, a Denver-based gun company, which hires Chad Hunter, a private weapons designer with ties to the German firm. His mission is to persuade the Germans that Warfield is the ideal partner. To facilitate this, Hunter must first convince Frank Baldwin, a struggling optics engineer from Wyoming, that his cutting-edge rifle scope is the perfect complement to the new German rifle. With the scope as leverage, they hope to secure a deal. However, their journey to Germany during Oktoberfest reveals dangerous complications, as rival nations and private factions covet the weapon, and some within Germany wish to keep it for themselves. Tension mounts as Hunter and Baldwin navigate a treacherous landscape where their lives are at stake.
