Linda Bowers is a homicide detective for the Greenbay, Wisconsin police department, who's haunted by her past. Her little brother, Timmy Bowers, was taken from their house on Halloween night by a psychopath and murdered in 1988 when Linda was only seventeen. Now, his restless spirit returns every October, the month he was taken, to give her a message from an unknown grave he was buried in. Having never found his body, Linda teams up with Joe Constance and Deidra Connor, two unlikely individuals that become friends with Linda and help guide her spiritually through the hell that awaits her. They go back to where it all began to begin their search for her little brother and find that there are more children that were murdered and never found. Linda now has to confront the evil that was responsible for his and the other children's deaths. She finds that in order to free herself, she must free her little brother and face an evil force that awaits her and her new friends.
