Anna Partington is homeless. She also thinks she can see ghosts from the past. While seeking the only relation who could help, Anna meets taciturn Rob Ahmed at a homeless shelter in Nottingham and finds she is not the only one who can see strange things. They are drawn together, entangled in a dangerous medieval world where they reveal more of each other's secrets and surprising talents.
