Maggiori informazioni sul libro

John Barron, a former top detective in the LAPD's elite 5-2 Squad, had his life irrevocably altered after a deadly shootout with fellow officers. Assuming a new identity as Nicholas Marten, he sought to leave behind a life of violence and became a landscape architect in northern England. However, his past catches up with him when he finds himself in Spain, saving the life of U.S. President John Henry Harris. Soon after, Marten is sent to Equatorial Guinea to investigate alleged collusion between a U.S. oil company and mercenaries. Amidst a brutal civil war between rebels and a ruthless dictator, he encounters a priest with incriminating photographs of the mercenaries supplying arms to the rebels. When the priest is captured, Marten must flee, determined to retrieve the photographs and deliver them to the president before they spark global outrage. However, he is pursued by dangerous figures, including Conor White, a former SAS commando turned assassin; Sy Wirth, the arrogant oil company president; and the enigmatic board member Anne Tidrow, alongside covert CIA operatives. As Marten navigates a treacherous path through Berlin, the Portuguese Riviera, and Lisbon, he confronts a complex struggle over oil control, with the fate of countless lives hanging in the balance, driven by a secret agreement known as The Hadrian Memorandum.
