Urfassungen des Romans "Der Meister und Margarita"
"Manuskripte brennen nicht" heißt es in "Der Meister und Margarita". Vor Augen hatte Michail Bulgakow (1891 bis 1940) wohl auch die Geschichte seines Hauptwerks. Bereits 1929 war eine erste Fassung des Romans über den Teufel fertig. Als die öffentliche Hetzjagd gegen Bulgakow zunahm und in psychischen Terror ausartete, vernichtete er 1930 zwar das Manuskript, doch von seiner großen Romanidee kam er nicht los. Ohne jede Hoffnung auf eine Veröffentlichung zu Lebzeiten kehrte er immer wieder zum "Meister" zurück. Noch auf dem Totenbett redigierte Bulgakow die Endfassung des Romans und diktierte seiner Frau Jelena Sergejewna neue Szenen. Im Moskauer Bulgakow-Archiv lagern mehr als tausend Seiten Rohmaterial, aus denen hier nur eine Auswahl vorgelegt werden kann. Durch einen Glücksumstand sind auch Fragmente der ersten Fassung erhalten geblieben, so dass sich Bulgakows Arbeitsprozess über die gesamten zwölf Jahre hinweg nachvollziehen lässt. Liebhaber des weltberühmten Romans werden es genießen, Teufel Voland und seiner frechen Suite, dem Meister und seiner großen Liebe Margarita sowie Pontius Pilatus und Jeschua erneut zu begegnen und dabei die deutlichen Spuren von Bulgakows Federstrichen zu entdecken.

Autorom koncipovaná zbierka tak vychádza v novom slovenskom preklade po prvý raz.
